Development entrepreneurial sports opportunities based on third generation organizational structures

Abstract:
Introduction & Purpose
In sport organizations, one of the necessary factors to entrepreneurship is an organizational structure consistent with managers and employee’s entrepreneurship concepts. Moreover, organizations need to behave entrepreneurially in order to identify new opportunities and make these opportunities profitable in the long term. On the other hand, organizational structure holds an important role on the performance of an organization. Organizational behavior scholars have agreed that various structures lead to different level of effort and efficiency. Therefore, the purpose of research was investigation effect of organizational structures on sports entrepreneurial processes in sports and youth organizations.
Method
The present done by structural equation method.The statistical population included all administrative staff of sports and youth departments of Golestan province that 110 people were selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument was Robbins Organizational Structure Questionnaire (1987) consisting of three subscales of complexity, formality and focus and a researcher-made questionnaire based on sports entrepreneurship studies including risk-taking, ideation, innovation, market analysis and creative management. In order to analyze the data, SPSS software and PLS-3 software were used.
Results
The study of the three indices of Locker and Fornell (1987) including measurement fit, structural fit and optimal fit of the research model, showed that the research model has a good explanatory power (GOF =0.476). The results of pattern path analysis showed that the subscales of formality (0.64) and focus(0.56) have a direct impact on sports entrepreneurship processes. The idea generation (0.61), creative management (0.54) and risk-taking (0.48) also had the highest path coefficient effect.
Conclusion
The efficiency and effectiveness of today's organizations depends on the choice of dynamic and organic structures and the adoption of entrepreneurial strategies. Managers of sports organizations can create the ground for the development of entrepreneurship within the organization by supporting new ideas, launching entrepreneurship training workshops and employing managers who agree with change and innovation. The results of the present study showed that establishment of appropriate structures in terms of personality traits of employees is the basis of entrepreneurial ideas that this issue should be considered by top managers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
