Abstract:
Covid pandemy has changed the lifestyle of people around the world, and have raised concerns about possible changes in betting patterns during the pandemy. Therefore, the purpose was the factors affecting the changes in people's tendency to online betting on sports during the corona. Method: The method was descriptive and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of the qualitative section (interview) included 12 faculty members in the fields of social sciences and sports sciences, economics, information technology and futures studies. The statistical population in the quantitative section (questionnaire) was selected from 100 participants in betting sites and snowball sampling method and through introduction by individuals. Then, a researcher-made questionnaire (sports betting during the corona) was used to evaluate the variables and its content and face validity were confirmed by 12 elites and its reliability was obtained using Cronbach's alpha test of 0.86. SPSS software and structural equation modeling in PLS software were used for data analysis. Results: The results showed that according to the values of the path coefficient in the gender component of the index "male head of household" with a factor of 0.754 in the component of Internet access index "more advertisements of famous people from these sites" with a factor of 0.846 in the component of economic need index "Economic pressure and positive attitude to monetization of betting sites" with a factor of 0.87 and in the component of psychological needs of the index "Social isolation of people in the corona and its effect on the tendency to betting sites" with a factor of 0.79 and in the component of the impact of social powers The index of "Impact of closure of many jobs and inclination to these sites" with a factor load of 0.901 had the greatest impact on these components. Conclusion: According to the results, economic needs and stress as well as the problem of unemployment were the main reasons for people to go to sports betting sites in the corona, which is necessary to increase the intensity of controls in monitoring betting sites from Avoid future social problems in this area.
