Abstract
The current study has been conducted to represent the opportunities and challenges of virtual education in physical training courses during the pandemic of coronavirus in a qualitative manner using phenomenological method. Findings of this study indicate that the opportunities and challenges of teaching physical education in cyberspace include 8 main branches and 20 sub-branches as follows:
Challenges related to students (3 sub- branches: Lack of motivation, Communication with peers, Dependence on inactive cyberspace), parents (2 sub- branches: Parents' lack of attention to physical education lessons, Ensure parental supervision), teachers (2 sub-branches: Virtual training is more time consuming, Low mastery of cyberspace), content (2 sub- branches: Whether or not the content produced is useful, Difficulties of content production), assessment (2 sub- branches: Failure to provide appropriate feedback, Lack of close monitoring and fraud), facilities (2 sub- branches: Lack of public access to mobile phones and the Internet at a proper speed, Space constraints), Koch plan (2 Sub- branches: Economic problems and low unemployment of families, Virtual training) and Opportunities (5 sub- branches: Self-assessment and an opportunity to fix problems, Away from traditional education, Strengthen the cognitive dimension of physical education, Direct parental supervision, High teacher interaction)
