Extrapersonal and Intrapersonal Factors Affecting the Migration of Elite Athletes

Abstract:
Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the extrapersonal and intrapersonal Factors affecting the migration of elite athletes.
Methodology: The method of this research was descriptive-correlational in terms of applied purpose, and was implementation in terms of library and field . The statistical population of the study included all elites athlete at the national, Asian and global levels, and 70 athlete were purposefully selected based on Barclay et al method. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire of exterapersonal factors with 4 dimensions and 15 items and intrapersonal factors with 3 dimensions and 15 items, which were measured with a 5-point Likert scale. The face and content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by 12 professors of sports management, managers and elites athlete and the reliability of the questionnaires y using Cronbach's alpha were calculated 0.75 and 0.73. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and Kalmograph-Smirnov test, Friedman ranking, and path analysis in SPSS23 and PLS3.
Results: The results show that the prioritization of exterapersonal factors affecting the migration of elite athletes were economic, social, professional and political, respectively, and also the prioritization of intrapersonal factors were national pride, personal and national identity, respectively. The results also showed that there was a significant relationship between intrapersonal factors, such as personal, national pride, national identity and the migration of elite athletes, while between exterapersonal factors and the migration of elite athletes there was no significant relationship.
Conclusion: Obviously, the migration of elite athletes should be described and explained at three levels: national, regional and global, with a strategic approach, and the adoption of incentive and motivational policies to help athletes move towards the championship. In addition, the necessary attention should be paid to the social status, individual needs, improving the conditions of professional activity and financing of these people in order to create the necessary incentives for the continuation and continuation of sports activities in the country.
