Abstract
Background and aim: Ethics is a fundamental principle and sport as one of the most effective tools for reforming culture and behavior in society. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the expectations and requirements of moral values in the sports community.
Methodology: The information of the present study was collected and evaluated with the library method by searching of numerous articles from various Internet sites.
Results: The most effective sports dimension has been the training of body and soul, moral refinement, and moral development. Religiosity was an effective factor in all components of athletes' moral orientation. Sport has been a category for fulfilling the mission, role-playing and practicing important social skills. The most important requirements of sports ethics have been chivalry, honor, fair play, competition and cooperation, sense of responsibility, compatibility, division of duties, rule of law, spirit of sacrifice, perseverance, self-discipline, ethics of support and spectatorship, ethical relations between coach and athlete and from negative moral aspects have been the use of doping and the energizing drugs, violence, fraud and deception, bribery, cowardly play, lawlessness, racism, and gender discrimination. The basic virtues in the field of sports are compassion, justice, responsibility, charity, and the ethical principles in sports is fighting against selfishness, forgiveness, honorable competition, and avoiding arrogance. Ethical expectations in the group of athletes: Respect for the coach, teammate, referee, opponent, spectators, humility and obedience, observance of cultural and religious etiquette, appropriate coverage in accordance with social norms, in coaches: mutual respect for athletes, continuous training and Continuous ethics, adherence to values, behavioral justice, attention to the younger, respect for spectators, in sports managers: reasonable and moral demands, solve cross-sectional crises, fairness in behavior, respect, criticism, creating an atmosphere of service, Psychological support , setting moral ideals, and in sport predecessors: educating the younger ones, transmitting moral teachings, and mediating in problems and crises.
Conclusion: Considering the existence of moral challenges in multiple dimensions and its adverse effects on the health of the sports community, therefore, special attention is needed by the authorities to develop strategic plans to promote moral values in sports.
