Abstract:
The migration of athletes in any country, especially developing countries such as Iran, has increased in recent decades, which has become a challenging issue. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the etiology of migration of professional athletes and professional coaches. Research method is descriptive and library method (review type) in order to study various sources in the field (etiology of migration of Iranian athletes) and using keywords (immigrant, refugee, Iranian sports) in 8 articles and domestic and foreign dissertations from years (2010 to 2021) was reviewed by search engines (University Jihad base and Google Scholar) and using sites (ISNA, Iran International and Mehr News). Findings indicate that the upward trend of migration in Iran is due to mismanagement in the managerial, economic, political and psychological sectors. In addition, developed Western countries are trying to attract elite athletes by announcing their multi-purpose sports support on media networks. In the issue of immigration, two concepts have been expressed that in the driving issue, the issue of retirement and athletes' insurance concerns, and in the stretching issue, the hospitality of other countries is an important issue for the migration of athletes. To solve the problem of immigration, athletes can be divided into three categories: (incentive, punitive and political). Incentives such as providing housing, employment and marriage facilities for punitive athletes, such as obtaining a commitment from national team athletes based on non-acceptance of foreign citizenship (provisions of Article 989 of the Civil Code) and political Social for 7 sports that can be invested in Iran. With the financial support of the countries of origin for athletes and the provision of facilities such as insurance, the growth of migration can be prevented to some extent.
