Abstract:
Background: Much research has been done on the reasons for non-participation, motivations and barriers to women's participation in sports activities, but the issue of maintaining and continuing their long-term participation has been less studied.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify ways to maintain and sustain women's participation in sports activities.
Methodology: In this study, the results of 27 articles on methods of maintaining and continuing women's participation in public sports activities have been framed and analyzed.
Results: The classification of the results of these different researches shows that in order for women to participate and participate in sports, three factors should be considered: 1. A suitable training environment for women, 2. Facilitators of sports participation, and 3. Promotion of women's sports programs. Creating a healthy and safe training environment should include the three main dimensions of a supportive environment, a constructive social atmosphere, and adequate provision to support the program. Facilitators of women's sports participation that are related to the implementation process of the program should be tailored to the needs of women. Be purposeful in design, program content is flexible, low cost; Finally, a trained and skilled coach should be selected. In the third factor, in order to improve the program, it is necessary to use inter-organizational communication, information and advertising, media and social networks: and other resources within the organization.
Conclusion: Maintaining the continuity of women's participation in sports is more important than motivating them to participate in sports, and in the maintenance phase, unlike the continuity of women's participation, it is a little more complicated than men.
