Introduction and aim: It has recently been studied by researchers in performing HIIT resistance training and is developing as an effective method among athletes and coaches. On the other hand, high-intensity intermittent resistance training as well as taking vitamin D supplements are common among athletes in various disciplines. However, the synergistic effects of vitamin D intake and intense periodic resistance training in futsal players have not been studied. Materials and Methods: A total of 20 adolescents in the Khorasan Razavi Futsal Premier League were selected as a statistical sample, who were randomly divided into two groups of training and placebo (10 people) and training and vitamin D supplementation (10 people). After pre-test measurements, both groups performed the research protocol for 4 weeks and 3 sessions per week. At the end of 4 weeks, all similar pre-test measurements were repeated in the post-test phase. The training protocol was that after warming up, the subjects performed two sets of 20-second movements of Samoskat, Swing, Clean and Press and Samoddlift with a break of 10 seconds between each set to perform kettlebell exercises, respectively. Exercises were performed 3 times with a total time of 12 minutes, 3 sessions per week for 4 weeks. The supplement group received vitamin D3 capsules at a dose of 4,000 units per day with lunch. Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups in values of VO2max, agility, 10 m sprint record, 30 m sprint record and explosive power (p >0.05). The results showed that a significant difference in fat percentage was observed between the two groups (p< 0.05). Conclusion: In general, it can be said that taking vitamin D3 supplements along with resistance training in adolescent futsal players, although significantly reduced the percentage of fat, however, did not increase physical fitness and improve their performance. |
