Abstract:
Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of guarna supplementation and resistance training on liver markers in inactive women. Materials and Methods: The statistical population in this study included inactive women of Alborz province and 32 volunteers participated in this study voluntarily. After selecting the subjects, they were randomly divided into 4 groups. First, in one session, the whole research process (supplementation and physical activity and sampling) along with its objectives and also the possible risks were explained to the subjects. They will be called to the sports club. Muscular endurance is obtained by calculating the number of maximal repetitions performed with 70% RM-1 pre-test for chest press movement as upper body endurance and 70% -1 RM pre-test for squat movement for lower torso muscle endurance. Exercise with 70% 1-RM intensity for 8 weeks and 3 sessions per week and 10 sessions of exercise for 80 minutes each session (squat machine, foot press machine, front machine, back machine, leg machine, chest press machine, Boat rope, front of the machine arm, back of the machine arm and machine shoulder press) were performed in 3 sets and each set was performed in 5-12 repetitions, respectively. The new 1-RM obtained every two weeks and the continuation of training will be followed up based on the new 1-RM. The subjects in the control group will be asked to continue their daily lives. For laboratory measurements, the subjects will be treated two days before the start of the exercise (pre test) and two days after the end of the research period (post test) after 12 hours of fasting from the anterior vein. Cubital blood samples were taken. The groups that took the guarana supplement took the amount (300 mg guarana supplement capsule) half an hour before the start of the protocol on training days. The findings showed that the guarana supplement was taken in the supplement + exercise group. Exercise group had a significant effect on AST, ALT and LDH levels. Conclusion: Guarana supplementation and resistance training seem to have beneficial effects on liver enzymes in inactive obese people.
