Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of black seed supplementation on bruising, muscle and delay following an extroverted exercise session in inactive girls. For this purpose, 44 girls were selected by convenience sampling and randomly divided into experimental (n = 22) and control (n = 22) groups. The experimental group took black seed supplement for 7 days. One week after the 1RM test, the first blood sample was taken from all subjects at 8 am and in the position of 12 hours of night fasting. From this session to the exercise test session (ie for 7 days), the experimental group consumed black seed extract. At the end of 7 days of supplementation, the resting blood sampling session was measured again at 8 am and in the position of 12 hours of night fasting. Then, the subjects of both groups participated in the main test session which included a resistance training program with weights. Details The main program of the exercise was that after 10 minutes of special warm-up and 3 minutes of rest, the subjects performed the leg press exercise with weights equal to 80% of a maximum repetition in 4 turns and each time up to the limit of exhaustion. Rest between turns. 180 seconds was adopted. Immediately, 24 and 48 hours after this exercise test, blood samples were taken from all subjects. Serum levels of TNF-α were measured by ELISA and creatine kinase was measured by spectrophotometry. Statistical results showed that the levels of creatine kinase, knee range of motion, crp, AST, IL-10 were not significantly different between the two groups. But levels of LDH, pain perception, TNF-α at intervals after exercise test were significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group. These findings suggest that consumption of black seed can reduce the pain and inflammation caused by delayed muscle spasms in inactive individuals.
