Long-term effect of 11 Plus training on performance indicators of futsal players in Tabriz

Abstract
Background: Among the existing training, the comprehensive warm-up training called 11 Plus have been introduced by FIFA to prevent injuries to football and futsal players, and in recent years have been widely developed around the world.
Aim: The aim of this study was to long-term effect of 11 Plus training on performance indicators of futsal players in Tabriz.
Method and Materials: 20 futsal players from Tabriz with an age range of 14 to 20 years and mean weight (experimental group 64.92±0.88 and control group 64.97±1.09) and average height (experimental group 168.00±2.44 and control group 168.00±2.26) In this quasi-experimental study were randomly divided into 2 homogeneous training and control groups. Static and dynamic balance, strength and endurance of knee flexors and extensor, and plantar flexors and ankle dorsiflexors were measured in the pre-test stage. The test phase consisted of 8 weeks of 11 Plus training performed by the training group. In the post-test phase, the indicators considered in the study were re-evaluated according to the pre-test phase. Data were analyzed using t-test at a significance level of 0.05 using SPSS software version 22.
Findings: The results showed that there was a significant difference in the studied indicators in the post-test stage. (p≥0.05).
Conclusion: The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that comprehensive 11-plus training can affect the performance indicators of young futsal players. Therefore, coaches and sports professionals in the field of futsal are recommended to use 11 Plus training, if possible, to improve the performance of futsal players and possibly reduce injuries.
