Abstract |
The aim of the current research is comparing the effect of HIIT, resistance and parallel training on C-reactive protein and some body composition components in Pars-e-Jonoubi firefighters. The population consisted of all male firefighters of Pars-e-Jonoubi in age range of 28 to 35 years old, from which 40 individuals were selected as voluntary; all filled the written consent to participate in the research and medical history questionnaire. Biometric measurements were done in the sport club 10 days before training protocol; including the measurement of height, weight and age and then the sample group were randomly categorized to four groups; HITT training, resistance training, parallel training and control groups. Serum concentration of C reactive protein was measured 48 hours before the first and the last sessions. The hypotheses were tested using correlated T-test and One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), as well as Kolmogorov–Smirnov test to investigate the normal distribution. The significance level was P<0.05 for all calculations. In all three groups, the mean difference of C-reactive protein in pre and post-test was similarly significant, as well as the mean fat rate. None of the training methods had significant effect on BMI and WHR. The effectiveness of parallel training was higher in intra-group comparison. The results of the study showed that, HITT, Resistance and Parallel training for 8 weeks has significantly decreased the C - reactive protein; however there was no relationship between the effects of these methods. The aim of the current research is comparing the effect of HIIT, resistance and parallel training on C-reactive protein and some body composition components in Pars-e-Jonoubi firefighters. |
