Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between pelvic angle in the sagittal plane and premenstrual syndrome in girls aged 15-18 years. The present study is causal, relational and post-occurrence and is applied according to the type of results. The statistical population of the present study is a group of female high school students and all of them are studying in high schools in Karaj. The statistical sample of this study is 150 people who were randomly selected from the statistical population according to the inclusion and exit criteria and with an average age of 16.75±2.52, height 156.75±3.95.95 and weight 51.33±4.9 were selected. Due to the condition of Covid-19 (Corona) and the closure of schools, by referring to the sports clubs in the city of Karaj, which were working part-time in those days, one of the girls volunteered and explained to the club officials to conduct research and With full consent, the subjects were asked to participate in the study. Then, after filling in the informed consent form and personal information form, their pelvic tilt was measured and then they completed the premenstrual symptoms screening questionnaire. Pelvic tilt was measured unilaterally with a tilt gauge on the right side of the body. Then, the amount and severity of symptoms were measured using a premenstrual symptom screening questionnaire. Pearson correlation coefficient and SPSS software were used at a significant level of 0.05. Finally, the results showed that the amount of anterior pelvic tilt has a direct and significant relationship with the amount of premenstrual symptoms, while the amount of posterior tilt does not have a significant relationship with the amount of premenstrual symptoms.
