Abstract:
Background and Aim: Fatigue is one of the causes of injury in sports and mountaineering activities, which can cause injury, fall and even death to climbers, and can affect the sense of joint angles and also lead to foot pain. It is hypothesized that changes in the skeletal structure of the foot may lead to changes in walking patterns and excessive loading on the bone and soft tissue structures, causing pain and injury to these areas.
Materials and Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 45 climbers ranging in age from 20 to 35 years were selected by purposive non-random sampling. In this study, tests were taken before and after mountaineering over a distance of 8 kilometers with a medium speed, which are: to assess the proprioception and reconstruction of knee and ankle joint angles from the mobeemed device and Algometer device was used to investigate the sole of the foot and pain threshold. Shapirovilk test was used for statistical analysis for normal data distribution and paired sample T-test was used for data evaluation and comparison. All statistical operations were performed using software version 24 and the significance level of the tests was considered 0.05.
Results: Based on the research, it is found that fatigue has a significant effect on reducing the pain threshold in the soles of the feet and also the changes in the reconstruction of ankle and knee joint angles. furthermore in the reconstruction of angles, the greatest effect was related to 20 degrees of plantar flexion.
Conclusion: This study shows that fatigue can increase injury factors and reduce optimal performance in climbers, and can also reduce the pain threshold of plantar fasciitis and increase pain sensitivity, which can change the way of mountaineering and the distribution of pressure in the sole of the foot. Increase the risk of injury and by reducing a person's perception of angles and sense of position of the lower limb joints such as the knee and ankle can reduce optimal muscle function and increase the risk of injury and strain and the risk of falling and falling climbers.
