Abstract:
Introduction: Coach efficiency shows how much a coach is able to influence the performance and learning of his athletes. Therefore, effective coaches are those who with their behavior bring positive results in athletes.
purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between coaching efficiency and sports commitment and team performance of boys' basketball players in the basic category of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province.
Methodology: The research method is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the study was 470 boys' basketball players of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province in the basic category (12 to 20 years old), 210 of whom were selected by simple random sampling. Demographic information questionnaire, Duarte et al (2014), Scanlon et al (2009) and West (2012) team performance questionnaire based on a 5 Likert scale (range 1 to 5) were used to collect data. The results of Cronbach's alpha and study of elongation and skewness of research variables showed that research tools have good reliability and research variables are normal (Cronbach's alpha coaching efficiency = 0.91, Cronbach's Alphabet Sports Commitment = 0.78, Cronbach's alpha Team performance = 0.83). Therefore, in order to analyze the data, parametric statistics, structural equation modeling (SEM) and model fit indices were used.
results: The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between sports commitment, team performance and coaching efficiency. The results of factor analysis and structural equations also showed that coaching efficiency had a positive and indirect effect on sports commitment and a positive and direct effect on team performance. Also, in addition to a positive and direct effect on team performance, sports commitment also had a positive and indirect effect on it. conclusion: Coaches can use strategies and stimuli that provide the athlete with a sense of positivity and effectiveness in the team and lead him to appropriate, professional and professional athletic behavior. This process can increase the acquisition of experience in the discussion of performance and sports commitment.
