Abstract:
Introduction & Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of six weeks of resistance training with vitamin D supplementation on Bax and Bcl-2 values of pancreatic beta cells in STZ diabetic mice.
Materials and Methods: The animals were randomly divided into 6 groups: 1- Healthy control group 2- Sham group 3- Diabetes control group 4- Exercise group + Diabetes 5- Supplement group + Diabetes 6- Combined group. The resistance training group consisted of 6 weeks of climbing a 76 cm ladder with 47 steps and a width of 19 cm. Each session consisted of 3 sets with 5 repetitions, which included a minute of rest between each set. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to determine the normality of data distribution. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to examine the changes in research indicators between groups. In case of significant differences between the groups, Tukey post hoc test at the significance level of P <0.05 was used to clarify the location of the differences. All statistical operations were performed using SPSS software version 20.
Discussion and Conclusion: The results of the present study show a significant effect of the combination of independent research variables on the research dependent variable compared to other groups. 6 weeks of resistance training and vitamin D consumption had a significant effect on Bax values of pancreatic beta cells in diabetic rats. The results showed that, in accordance with the significant level (0.000). There was a significant difference between bax in terms of control, sham, diabetes, exercise, vitamin D and exercise and vitamin D groups (Sig <0.05). 6 weeks of resistance training and vitamin D intake have a significant effect on BCl-2 levels of beta pancreatic cells in diabetic mice. The results showed that, according to the significance level (0.001), the difference between Bcl2 in terms of control, sham, diabetes, exercise, vitamin D and exercise + vitamin D shows the significance (Sig <0.05).
