Abstract |
Introduction: According to national and international figures the population of old people is increasing special in big cities. So, it is important to recognize the best ways for keeping and strengthening physical and mental health of these people. The aim of this study was to Comparison cardiovascular endurance, postural control and quality of life between active and inactive elderly women during In Corona Crisis (COVID-19) Methods: Statistical population of this causal-comparative research consists of elderly Men in tehran city. For this purpose, 50 active elderly men (mean age 63 ± 2.2, weight 72 ± 3.2 kg, height 160 ± 3.1 cm) and 50 inactive elderly men (mean age 61 ± 1.4, weight 70 ± 3.5 kg , Height 162 ± 2.1 cm) participated voluntarily during in this study. Cardiovascular endurance, postural control and quality of life were measured using Rockport test, Y test and SF-36 quality of life questionnaire, respectively. samples t-test was used to analyze the data, spsss statistical package was used for all analyzes. In this study, significance level equal was considered to %95 and level of alpha was considered less than or equal to 0/05. Results: Significant differences between Active and Inactive Elderly Men were found in Cardiovascular endurance, postural control and quality of life (P<0/05). of active elderly Men were significantly bether than the inactive aged Men. Conclusion: the findings of this study suggested engaging in regular physical activity as it could work as a significant strategy to improve the quality of life among the elderly. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that the officials dealing with public health create appropriate facilities for the physical activity and sports of the elderly women. |
