Abstract
The purpose of this study was to review the studies conducted in the field of management and performance evaluation of Clubs with a content analysis approach from 2014 to 2020 in Iran and from 2014 to 2020 outside Iran.
The research method is based on strategy, descriptive, in terms of implementation path, content analysis and in terms of data collection, documentary. The statistical population of the study was 23 published articles in the field of management and performance evaluation of sports clubs. The research sample was considered as a whole and equal to the statistical population. The tools used in the study included a checklist; its face and content validity was confirmed by 6 sports performance management experts.
Based on research findings; 11 scientific research articles on management and performance evaluation of sports clubs in Iran and 12 scientific research articles in the field of management and performance evaluation were published outside Iran.
The results showed that the research conducted in Iran was more focused on the marketing of Iranian sports clubs and financial issues and its effects on performance and were unaware of other factors affecting the performance of clubs. Managerial and professional stability in sports clubs can lead to improved club performance. Also, the ranking of managerial and professional factors and indicators is effective in improving the performance of sports clubs and is effective in evaluating the performance of clubs. In studies conducted outside Iran, the number of studies that combined sports and financial performance had the highest number. These studies showed a close relationship and the impact of financial performance on sports performance and the results of sports clubs. But most of these studies focus on the financial part of sports clubs. Also, among the sports performance management studies outside Iran, the least studies related to human resource performance management were a study conducted in 2014. The importance of human resources of each club will definitely be effective in achieving successful performance of sports clubs, so given its importance, more studies are needed in this area.
