Abstract |
Introduction: Sports policy sets clear goals and guidelines for how sport can help society. Policies are influenced by a range of actors, including governments, intergovernmental agencies, as well as local communities and grassroots organizations, and the policy is for all stakeholders! The purpose of this study is how to maximize the impact of sports policies? This article provides a definition and ways to develop sports management thinking. Methodology: Computer searches in some databases with the keywords sports policy, development, thinking, sports management among published articles were performed using valid books and available documents. Results: Research shows that sports policy meets the needs of all stakeholders. Sports policy must serve the needs of all stakeholders. No one should lag behind in participating in sports or feel rejected. Every sports-related organization, regardless of size, has a role to play in advancing sports management for development, and politics is one way to achieve this goal. Sport and development policy uses sport management as a tool to help achieve a broader global goal that can benefit everyone. Conclusion: Almost all organizations have policies and guidelines. They are not just for large organizations or the public sector, for example a sports club may have a travel or protection policy. It is important to understand how sports management can support organizational goals, as well as consider the larger social, economic, environmental, or political forces that may influence the implementation of your policy. For all those involved, the policy is to move in one direction, take risks and make the desired changes. Stakeholder participation is crucial in formulating a policy. This allows alignment between problem and area activities to change the development of sports management thinking. |
