Abstract:
Purpose: For the first time in history, sports on a global scale were disrupted by Corona. This alone indicates the depth and magnitude of Corona's impact on sports. In many cases, the challenges of the corona have been such that it has affected the main goals of the organization. Due to the closure of clubs and the low reception of families from the presence of themselves and their children in sports venues, a significant loss to the country's sports industry is expected. In this regard, the present study aimed to identify the challenges of women's fitness clubs in the post-corona period.
Methodology: To answer the research question, a qualitative research design and content analysis method were used. Among the various qualitative research methods, the content analysis method was considered appropriate to achieve the research objectives, because Brown et al. (2016) believe that this method is useful for understanding the individual processes of a particular phenomenon. In this study, the inductive approach was used to identify the themes and the six-step analysis process presented by Brown and Clark (2006) was used. The population and the statistical sample included trainers-owners of women's fitness clubs. The sampling method was purposeful. Finally, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 of them through the WhatsApp social network and data were collected. Data collection continued until theoretical saturation was reached.
Results: The results indicate that the challenges of owners-coaches of these clubs in 112 initial codes and 9 sub-themes that include; Club members are categorized as preserving club culture, health protocols, membership, finances, facilities, competition, and division of responsibilities.
Conclusion: The survival and activity of women's fitness clubs is very important in maintaining the health of women's body and soul during epidemics and post-coronation. In order to empower sports clubs and properly support the community of women fitness clubs, it is necessary to understand the issues that clubs face in the light of Corona. Because, these challenges can be interpreted as a strategic plan that accurate and timely knowledge of these issues is essential for the survival of any organization, including organizations in charge of sports.
