Abstract
Currently, technology is one of the essential requirements of living a healthy life. In the modern era, smartphones and mobile devices are the most commonly used devices. The number of smartphone users currently stands at 5.29 billion, up 97 million in the past year, and the number of smartphones in use is increasing every day at a rate of almost 6%, with an average of more than 1 million new smartphones being added every day. These devices have accelerated human lives, but the quality of lifestyle has been decreased due to a reduced level of physical activity. It is, however, growing attention to specific applications, software, and smartphone equipment in order to improve the lifestyle. There are devices that measure physiological variables, such as oxygen consumption, rating of perceived exertion, heart rate, and even distance running and attitude. Cycling, athletics, and swimming are among the sports using the most technological advances. In addition to these sports, there are a few others that use these kinds of technologies. These new facilities will be used in sports to create a platform for smart sports. It seems too many coaches design their training sessions digitally based on new technologies. This means that any activity can be monitored by various devices. It provides scientifically significant results, and medical professionals and sports coaches can analyze them to improve lifestyles in the digital World. Companies have been able to design and produce more useful devices due to the idea of using smartphones during any activity. A pandemic like COVID-19 only emphasizes the importance of using such devices and facilities. The purpose of this article is to summarize smartphone use in exercise and identify healthy software that coaches may find useful.
