Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting aggression and violence in football spectators. The present study was an applied, descriptive-survey in terms of purpose and type, the information of which was collected in the field. The statistical population of the study included the spectators of the Iranian Premier League in one of the games of this league. Due to the uncertainty of their exact number, 150 questionnaires were distributed. Finally, 111 completed and healthy questionnaires were selected and entered into the analysis process. In order to collect data, the standard questionnaire of vandalistic behaviors in football spectators (Gholinejad et al., 2017) was used. In the present study, SPSS 23, LISREL 8/80 and Excel 2010 software programs were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the average score of violence and aggression in football spectators and all its components indicate a favorable relative status, so that their average score was more than 3. Also, considering the significant levels, all of which are less than 0.05, it can be said that there is a significant difference between the average violence and aggression in football spectators and its components with the hypothetical average. It was also found that there is a significant priority between the components of violence and aggression in football fans, according to which, the most important priority is related to the component of "anomie or abnormality" and the components of "importance of leisure", "cohesion of family relationships", "association with friends" and "the role of social oversight" are in the second to fifth priorities. Finally, it was found that the structural equation model of the research has a significant fit. According to the findings, it can be said that the increase in factors affecting the level of violence and aggression in spectators can be both internal and external, which occurs in different ways in sports settings, and therefore the relevant authorities should act with appropriate culture and to solve this problem and create a favorable atmosphere in the stadiums.
