Abstract:
The present study was conducted with the general aim of providing a model for the development of sports tourism with an effectuation entrepreneurial marketing approach in the Mako Free Trade and Industrial Zone. The method of the present research is a mixed method which strategically is descriptive-survey, in terms of purpose exploratory, based on result basic and applied research and the paradigm of study is pragmatism. The statistical population of the research in the qualitative part includes professors of Urmia and Tabriz universities and managers and experts in the field of tourism of the Mako Free Trade and Industrial Zone Organization and in the quantitative part includes the staff of the Cultural Heritage Organization and the Mako Free Zone Organization, experts and managers of general Administration of Sports and Youth of Mako and a group of tourists present in the Mako Free Zone. The sample required for research in the qualitative part was identified and selected by purposive and chain sampling method (snowball sampling technique) and in the quantitative part, random sampling method was performed. The research tool provided via in-depth and semi-structured interviews with experts. The validity and reliability of the quantitative questionnaire were also confirmed by 12 professors and experts in the field of sports management. In order to data analysis, SPSS software version 25 and MAXQDA version 2020 were used. The results showed that for the development of sports tourism with an effectuation approach in the Mako Industrial Free Trade Zone, 11 main categories related to the factors affecting the development of sports tourism, 7 main categories in the effectuation approach section, 8 main categories in strategical dimensions of sports tourism development and 2 main categories in the section of the consequences of developing sports tourism with an effectuation approach were explored. The development of sports tourism in the Mako Free Zone is affected by several factors that the relevant managers should pay attention to them in formulating and implementing their programs in order to develop a better plan and ultimately development of sports tourism in the region.
