Abstract:
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of upper quadrant exercises on the chronic tension headache in middle aged men. The research method is semi-experimental.. The design of this study is pre-test and post-test. The statistical population of the study included all middle-aged men with tension headache referring to Tehran University of Medical Sciences's health centers. The statistical sample of this study consists of 10 people in the community whose selection is accidentally easy and based on the goal. Samples should have the following characteristics: they should be rated by a neurologist as a chronic headache headache, in the range of 40-55 years old, who will provide their headache information in both the pre-treatment and treatment phases for assessing the effect of the program. The treatment was used to measure severity, frequency, duration of headache, and the rate of intake of pain, and the headache test questionnaire (HIT-6) was used to measure sleep quality. In this research, descriptive statistics were used to describe the data of each group and to determine the center of inclination (mean, standard deviation). The Shapiroilk test was used to check the normality of the data and to determine the effect of upper training on chronic headache and its dimensions between pre-test and post-test, t-correlation test was used at 95% alpha level (p <0.05) .The results showed Eight weeks of upper quadriceps training on the severity and frequency of chronic tension headaches, as well as reducing the dose of analgesic drugs and ultimately on the quality of sleep in people with chronic tension-type headaches have had a positive effect on the improvement of cold pain.
