Aims and background: Parkinson's disease is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system disorder in the elderly age group is more focused and symptoms include tremor, slowness of movement, stiffness and instability is a condition. Study the effect of eight weeks of rebound therapy on quality of life and balance in patients with Parkinson's disease was performed.
Material and Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test in both control and experimental groups for eight week two sessions per week for an hour - was done. Of the patients with Parkinson's disease, 24 on the basis of common scales grading the severity of Parkinson's disease with intensity 2 to 3 were, for convenience and chosen and randomly divided into two groups, rebound therapy (12 patients) and control group (12 patients) were matched. Quality of life questionnaire for patients with Parkinson's disease was used to measure the levels of quality of life. As well as to estimate the static balance and dynamic balance test patients respectively stork and Y were used. To analyze the data, ANOVA with repeated measures was used and a significant level of .005.
Results: The results showed that scores on quality of life in the post-test was significantly greater in the group pre-test rebound therapy interventions that enhance the quality of life of patients (05 / 0≥ P). The results showed that the static and dynamic balance test was significantly greater in patients Rebound therapy has been pre-test (05 / 0≥P).
Conclusion: The results showed that the rebound therapy for eight weeks can be an efficient way to improve the balance and quality of life in patients with Parkinson's. So we can rebound therapy as a rehabilitation method to improve health supplement used for Parkinson's disease treatment centers.
