Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of local indigenous games on reducing social harms and physical social anxiety in junior high school students in Tuyserkan. The statistical population of this study consisted of first grade male high school students in Tuyserkan. 40 high school students in Tuyserkan participated in the present study voluntarily and were divided into two groups of 20 experimental and control. Before starting the training protocol, all participants completed the Attitudes Toward Social Injuries Questionnaire of Mohammadi et al. (2013) and Hart et al. (1989) Social Anxiety Questionnaire as a pretest. Participants in the experimental group then performed indigenous and local games for 12 weeks (two sessions per week for 50 minutes). To evaluate the normality and homogeneity of the data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Loon tests were used to analyze the data and analysis of covariance was used in SPSS software. As a result of testing the main hypothesis, it was found that teaching local indigenous games significantly reduced students' social harm and physical anxiety. Also, local indigenous games have an effect on reducing the rate of social harm in junior high school students in the city of Tuyserkan. Therefore, the first sub-hypothesis of the research is confirmed and the null hypothesis is rejected, and local indigenous games have an effect on reducing the level of physical anxiety in the first high school students of Tuyserkan. Therefore, the second sub-hypothesis of the research is confirmed and the null hypothesis is rejected. (05 / 0‌> p‌).
