Abstract |
Introduction: Afamin is a plasma-bound glycoprotein of vitamin E that is primarily expressed in the liver. Afamin facilitates the transport of vitamin E through the blood-brain barrier and is strongly associated with all components of the metabolic syndrome. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 8 weeks of TRX and Pilates training on serum afamin levels in overweight young women. Methods: In this study, 30 inactive overweight women with a BMI above 25 between the ages of 25 -35 were randomly selected and divided into three groups: TRX (N=10), Pilates group (N=10) and control group (N=10). The Protocol of Pilates training Group was three sessions that conducted in 3 sessions in a week and at each session for 60 minutes, including situational exercises, natural status identification, cooling, stretching and balance, breathing endurance and power. The TRX training group performed TRX exercises 3 times a week for 60 minutes each session. 24 hours before the first training session and 48 hours after the last sampling session. In order to analyze the information, SPSS version 26 was used in two sections: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Paired t-test and mixed analysis of variance (Mixed ANOVA) were used to analyze the data and in case of differences between groups, Bonferroni post hoc test was used. Results: 8 weeks of TRX and Pilates training changed the BMI of young overweight women (P= 0.006). Also, 8 weeks of Pilates training resulted in a significant reduction in afamin (P=0.008) and none of the interventions resulted in significant changes in blood glucose (P = 0.280), insulin (P=0.40) and resistance to No insulin (P=0.162). (P≤0.05). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it can be said with caution that Pilates training compared to TRX training can reduce serum afamin levels in inactive obese women and this can be used as a predictor to reduce Weight and fat loss and BMI decrease these people |
