Abstract
The purpose of this study was to test the spiritual leadership model in the context of sport.
The method of this research is in terms of applied and structural equations. The statistical population of this study consisted of all athletes of individual sports and a team present in the 2018 league. 409 athletes were selected randomly and purposefully in basketball, volleyball, soccer, futsal, handball, taekwondo, table tennis and karate. The data collection tool was a questionnaire of 40 questions of Spiritual Leadership Fry (2016). Cronbach's alpha coefficient (for determining the reliability of the components of the questionnaire), KMO, and Bright Bartlett (for determining the sampling adequacy), factor analysis of the main components (for determining the structural validity), and structural equations (for model testing) were used.
Inner life had a positive and significant effect on spiritual leadership and spiritual leadership which had a direct and significant effect on calling and membership. In addition, according to the results of the two calling variables and sense of membership as a mediator variable, a better estimation model is obtained and the positive relationship between spiritual leadership and organizational commitment, productivity, and life satisfaction comes from calling and membership. The reliability of the questionnaire was also obtained using Cronbach's alpha (94.57). The model also had a good fit.
Considering the existence of a positive relationship between the research variables, this model creates a perspective in which athletes experience a sense of calling so that their sporting life is purposeful, meaningful and effective, and also the creation of an organizational culture based on the values of non-transactional love. Athletes have a sense of membership and belonging, and feel that they are understood and appreciated and As a result, the sense of satisfaction and organizational commitment in them has increased and productivity goes up
